The Gallery Café-Bar celebrated its official opening recently and if the positive feedback was anything to go by it will still be celebrating for some time to come! Located on Belfast’s Dublin road, it features an elegant open-plan restaurant, bar and art gallery with floor to ceiling windows, Philippe Starck ghost chairs, and bespoke crystal chandeliers – all of which mark it out as one of the most eye-catching destinations in the city.

Speaking at the opening, owner Gary McCausland said: “We’re delighted to be a part of the re-emergence of Belfast’s Dublin Road, and the Gallery Bar has already firmly established itself as one of the city’s finest new venues. From our locally sourced menus, extensive wine list, bespoke décor and the stunning art on display from local artists such as Colin Davidson, Brian Ballard and William Conor, there’s much to celebrate and we look forward to a fantastic first year, continuing to offer the excellent service that we’ve already become known for.”

It is open all day and offers a breakfast, lunch and bistro menu, with late nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed a girly night there recently – lovely food and even better service. Was hoping to keep it to myself, but after the bustling launch, the secret is now well and truly out 🙂
