There are few films from the ’80s more beloved by fans than Dirty Dancing. It provided a career defining role for Jennifer Grey and the hip-swinging suave Patrick Swayze as the dance instructor Johnny for whom she falls for.

It’s made a comeback in its 30th year with a Dirty Dancing musical touring the country, films being shown on the big screen and even the characters making an appearance on the red carpet at last night’s NTA Awards….  Ok it might have been Keith Lemon and Paddy McGuinness dressed in the iconic outfits – but it was still screen gold nonetheless. (Thanks to PA Press Association for the red carpet pic!)

If you are as big as fan as me, here are a few ways to get your Dirty Dancing fix…

Musicals: Dirty Dancing makes a triumphant return to the Grand Opera House with exploding with heart-pounding music, breathtaking emotion and sensationally sexy dancing. Featuring 35 hit songs, including “Hungry Eyes”, “Hey Baby”, “Do You Love Me?” and the heart stopping “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life”. Limited tickets are still available here

Special 30th Anniversary Cinema Screening: The best way to watch the movie is on the big screen and the lovely people at Odyssey Cinemas are doing just that! See all the dances, moves and watermelon carrying just the way the film makers intended it! For one night only on Friday 14 February – book early as I’m sure this will be a sold out show!
